Mocambo--Isla Mujeres

Had been planning to try this restaurant on the Becky's recommendation & it didn't disappoint! One night we hadn't decide where we wanted to eat; we were going to just walk around a little. Down the street from where we stay is a time share guy. We said hello to him when we walked by & he asked if we knew where we were going to eat? He said he wanted to suggest Mocambo & gave us tickets for a free drink for each of us--that helped us decide where to eat! It was fairly early ( around 6-6:30pm) and there wasn't another person there! The waiters told us they were very busy at lunch time and later in the evening. We asked quite a few questions about the menu & the wait staff was very helpful. Here's what we decided on: Lou had a whole grilled fish....
Alan and I had chicken fajitas...............

And Deb had Seafood soup--it was so good we had to go back another day for lunch so Lou could have it!

We had 2 good meals there-try it out! ( Nice, clean restrooms, too!)

Ann, I love the food and wait staff there. I think my usual waiter's name was Ricardo. Nice guy! Great photos of the other dishes that I'll have to try in July!

That looks yummy. And yes, a clean bathroom is notable! :)

That fish soup looks comparable to La Bruja's! I'll have to try this place next time.
