Finally, a little open water!

Stopped this morning at Tyler Lake to see how much ice was still there--too much! A month ago I did a blog posting with photos of the same lake during a snow storm!

Patches of water can be seen and it's going to be 60 today!

Ooh, boy...that takes me back to my days in South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin! Brrr. Do they drive out on the lakes in Connecticut to go ice fishing? I never had much of a desire to do that...would rather be sitting in front of the roaring fire with a glass of wine and a good book!

Ann, I'm glad you're in the thaw! But I wonder if that pesky storm in the Midwest will be coming towards you? I called my mother this morning and they had blizzard warnings in Kansas.

Yes, Deb, they do drive out, but mostly walk out--I don't think the ice gets as thick here as in the midwest! ( relatively speaking!)
Becky--I think all we are going to get is lots of rain..
