My favorite cats from Isla trip

There seemed to be less cats out & about this year when we were on Isla. A few of the hotels had only one cat that was always around--like they've staked out their territory. This guy was at Buho's ( Maria del Mar) everytime we went out there--was very friendly--loved to run around, climb the palm trees and let himself be petted by young and old alike! Reminds me alot of one of mine except he has a tail ( mine is a Manx)

This one lived at the place we were staying. He would greet me every morning when I went out for a walk.

Obviously this cat lived at Nautibeach. I went over there a few mornings to vosit with a friend who was staying there & he was always on the steps, around the pool or up on a chair! Noone tried to shoo him away, so he must be a fixture.

Great pics and gorgeous subjects. I have a very special place in my heart for the gatos of Isla. I carry around food and seek out the strays...I am the crazy cat lady. Sigh. I especially love the calico little girl that lives on the North corner lot of Hidalgo and the little black angel that lives at Media Luna. We also knew her father. Isn't that funny?

Those guys look very healthy. I've seen quite a few that look pretty scraggly. I thought I had some pics of the black and white one, but when I checked, their markings are different...and I always see mine hanging out around Aqua Adventures on Hidalgo.

I hadn't realized quite how territorial cats are until I observed the behavior here with the strays. Glad those guys found a place to call home, so many do not know what it feels like to be stroked by a human hand. We feed the ones around the house, and have adopted 3 of our own, and they lap up the attention from our guests (if they happen to be cat people - which not everyone is). Thanks for the pics!

Thanks to all of you. I love all the cats we see, but these 3 were great--very well taken care of!

All those cats look a lot better than the average beggar on Hidalgo. I'm so glad there are so many kind-hearted people around who feed them. Nice photos Ann!
