I've gone to great lengths to have squash this summer. I put a few plants in the garden at the end of May--they already had small squash started on them! I picked my 1st one today! They would get 1 or 2 inches long & then disappear! So I put this twirling peacock right by one plant.....

And then a few pinwheels around the edges of the garden--had to move them a few times to get the right spots & the squash finally started growing...my apologies to the deer, but they've gone on the eating the hostas!
