The neighbor's bison were up by the road this morning so I hopped out of my car to get a few photos.
I found out they're a little skittish....When I got about 5 feet away they moved further back in the field
You can see the area they are in in this photo is pretty chewed up! They stay out all winter, through all the snow & cold weather.
So, last week they started fencing in the field that is across from the end of our driveway. Don't know yet if they are getting more or are doing it just to have another place to move them to. The field has been used for growing hay in the past. ( the snow in the photo has melted!)

Looks like the snow has melted a little. Guess it's about time! Once again, I'm hungry for a buffalo blue burger!

How cool to have buffalo for neighbors! We used to have some Longhorns nearby, but they have moved on.
