A Few Firsts & the Promise of More to Come...

My first tomato--almost all the plants I have already have flowers on them--very unusual for this early in the season. And this plant--it's a bloody butcher tomato--has a few actual tomatoes! And all coated with pollen! The allergy season has been awful so far! Last year the growing season started out great, then we were inundated with rain & then the blight, so this year has to be better!
I have 5 rose bushes in various spots around the yard--this is the first one to bloom.

I hope you get lots of tomatoes this year. That rose is beautiful, I can almost smell it from here!

Ann, I envy people now who can grow tomatoes. We tried two years in a row here in Arizona and they just burnt up -- and that's with shade! Yesterday at the store, I bought some tomatoes on the vine that actually had that tomato smell! Love that rose!

I put all the tomatoes in pots around the house & some ancho peppers. They seem to be doing well. My vegetable garden is getting shaded, so I won't put much in it this year. The roses have a nice light scent!

One of our rose bushes is blooming, but it's not as fragrant as we thought they'd be. We're just looking forward to moving and putting all these plants in the grown.

I love tomatoes and I'd love to grow peppers too.

Love the photos.
