Lots of these around......

Pretty awful, aren't they? Not something that you want to see, but they are around when you have lots of rain. Spotted a few on the lily fronds so I thought, lets try out the macro!
Didn't think I would get quite as good a close up as I did! Then I picked them off & poured salt on them & watched them shrivel up....

Yuk! I hate slugs. Did you ever see banana slugs in the Pacific NW? Quadruple yuk! But nice photography, Ann.

Ah yes slugs. Don't miss them at ALL! Vee's right about those banana slugs. I used to plant flowers or plants in the afternoon and forget to put the Deadline slug killer around them. In the morning, they'd be gone.

Get out the salt! I'm melting, I'm melting!

why do you put salt on them? Do they taste better that way??

Carl--it does something to the mak uo of the slug & they melt away!

Ooooh! Do we detect a bit of sadism here? Sounds like a cruel thing to do, but if I were there I would be right beside you with a salt shaker! (not one clogged up by humidity either!)
