Monday when I got home I heard the telltale sound of a tractor in the field above our house. So I got my camera & went to investigate. They were doing the 1st cutting of hay--it's very late --usually they've done at least 2 cuttings by now, if not 3! All that rainy weather......
They cut alfalfa in the fields around us last week. The smell was so strong before they baled it that we could hardly ride our bikes in the evenings. (Of course, now it's WAY too hot to ride those bikes in the evening.) Nice video Ann!
That farmer is really making hay while the sunshine's, he has the tractor set in boogie-it-drive. The guy that was going to cut our field via old fashion way has abandoned that thought, in fact I think he has abandoned the field. Thanks for the video reminding me, I must have a talk with him.
