Another Christmas memory

My Mom, me & my sister setting up the tree in 1950 or 51. I'm facing the camera. We had just moved to this house--my paternal grandparents had lived there before--my granfather was a builder & had built most of the homes in the neighborhood. We had lived in a 4 family house until this time--2 other families were couples that my parents had known throughout HS --they had daughters the same summer that I was born--we still keep in touch sporadically. We moved from this town to one 20 miles away, but in the early 60's that was like the other side of the country. Brings back so many wonderful memories surrounding happenings at this house!

I love seeing black and white photos! Everytime I scan then, the machine turns them into .tif and I can't post. Have a warm and Merry Christmas!

Thanks! The weather this week is crazy--zero or below with wind chill today but by the end of the week it's supoosed to be in the 50's!With the amount of snow we have ( 12+ inches)it should be interesting!

Ann, another priceless photo! By the way, at the gym today I noticed a Cooking Light magazine with a fudge cake in a cup recipe. I would suspect that the recipe might be better than that one I have, but someone had torn the recipe from the magazine! Grrr. I wonder if Cooking Light online would have it?

What a great photo, Ann. A lot of your pics remind me of my childhood. My dad was big into photography, so we had a lot of them. I still have memories of the floodlights he would have in the living room on Christmas and it would be so damn bright in there we could hardly open our eyes! Good times.
