The last 2 weeks have been very hectic--have spent 2 -3 day weekends helping to move my Mom & get her settled in. ( Thanks Tom & Karen for all that you do !) Then I came home Sunday & found out that Alan hadn't seen Squeak all day......he's 13 years old and rarely misses a meal! Now it's 2 days later and he still hasn't shown up. We've looked around the area & contacted some of the neighbors , but no sightings. We have lost others to the woods ( probably coyotes)--We've had 15 cats in the last 25 years--Alan had 3 when we got married. We are now down to one cat & one dog--so few pets!

So sorry :(
That's so sad, Ann. We lost a couple cats, too, when we lived in New Braunfels...probably to coyotes, as well. You keep thinking they're going to show up one day, but no... I'm sorry.
So sorry Ann and Alan! So sad to lose a beloved pet, and especially when you are not sure how....
Thanks for your kind thoughts
I'm so sorry, Ann. Squeak is so cute with his little nose outlined in black. :( My parent's cat disappeared for several days and he finally was found in the house next door. It is empty and he got in (nosey) while a realtor was showing it and was gone for four or five days. He was awfully happy to be home. This is the same cat who jumped in the mailman's truck once and ended up at the main post office downtown!
Thanks, Jana. We have looked all over --places where he could have gotten shut in, etc. We had one cat that used to leave in the summer & come back when it got cold. One year he didn't come back, so we thought he died. 2 1/2years later he showed up at a neighbors & they called us! Oh, the stories he could have told!
What a beautiful cat! I hope he comes home soon.
