It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

At least at the store where I work. usually we have the place all decorated in Oct., but just like everywhere else , the econmy has hurt us. The owners are spacing out the deliveries a little longer and have ordered less.
People like to shop here because we do free gift boxing and wrapping. You don't find that many places any more!

We have quite a few different themed trees this year--Barnyard animals, coffee, beach, musical instuments, to name a few.

It's starting to look really nice. I won't be working til next week-- I've been under the weather for a few days--had a freak accident on Monday & burned my throat--I ate something that was to hot --didn't seem that way when I put it in my mouth but it did a job on my throat & uvula --spent a few hours at the emergency room mon. night--got a powerful liquid pain reliever & have to eat soft food for a few days.

So sorry Ann! That sounds so painful! We're both under the weather here too. Me with the back and Craig with a nasty virus that's making the rounds. The store looks great and puts me in the Christmas mood! It's hard to imagine in a little over a week, I'll start putting up the Christmas decorations!

Thanks, Becky--the 1st night was horrendous--now more of a dull ache & it's hard to swallow. Hope you & craig are feeling better soon!

Ooh, that DOES sound painful...hope you're feeling better soon! That is such a cute little store...what a great place to work, especially at Christmas. I can't believe how early the Christmas decorations came out this year. I'm sure it had to do with the economy and retailers wanting to get consumers into the Christmas spirit earlier so they buy more.

Ouch! I have never even given the possiblity of burning your throat a thought! I have gradually been increasing my tolerance to hot sauces and peppers, living where I do! Maybe I better be a little careful. I did get a burn bump on the end of my tongue by gently tasting a sauce. Glad I didn't eat it!

So sorry to hear about the throat incident!! Hope you are well soon.

I am sooooo not ready to see Xmas decorations before Thanksgiving and go into panic mode when I do!

We did some new gas fireplace replacements shopping (vented to non vented) a couple of weekends ago and was aghast at how many Xmas displays there were!!

They freak me out, because I think it's too early, but with the economy sucking like it does, I suppose a lot of businesses are decorating early hoping for a good holiday revenue season.

Feel Better!!
