Tomatomania!

We are now into our 10th or 12th straight day of rain...it seems longer!  But I know I can't complain too much--we could be a lot worse off!  Last weekend I went to the  Tomatomania sale at White Flower Farm.
They had approx 130 different varieties of tomato plants--I only bought 4 kinds.
This was a tshirt they had for sale--cute, but I don't need any more tshirts!
So I also bought a few other plants for my garden--this cucumber sounded interesting....
And I decided to try acorn & butternut squash....
After loading our tomatoes & other plants in the car, we went & walked through the greenhouses--I bought one of these plant also--they were just so pretty!  Also got another Tomato Soup Echinacea, a Shasta daisy & a new pink poppy--can't wait for them all to bloom so I get take pictures!

Nothings better than fresh garden picked tomatoes and cukes! Makes for a great side dish with some fresh grilled fish.

We've had the same rain, Ann. I envy your trip to White Flower Farm, I get their catalog.

I would love to grow more of my own food, however my yard is so small! I grow herbs in pots (no...not that kind!!) and some flowers. I may try some lavender some time.

Judy--I don't shop there often--as you know it's pricey, but their plants are great! Barb Pierson, the nursery manager, is an islaholic & going down as a part of big group next month!

Ann, I miss the smell of homegrown tomatoes. We tried one year here and they absolutely burned up. Great photos! Hope the rain lets up!
