Hydroponic Tomatoes

Bet you'd never expect to see tomatoes growing on the roof of the Vistalmar Hotel.....Well, the ever ingenious Mark T. has set up a system to grow them.  He lives at the Vistalmar about 6 months a year & has done many artistic displays & last year started growing herbs and other stuff.
This year he has rigged up a whole hydroponic system to grow several varieties of tomatoes.
Several were picked while we were there & the consensus was they were great!

This is so cool. I'm going to do this on our patio. I need to look up when I can start planting tomatoes.

Mark thinks up the coolest things! I met him years ago through a mutual friend. Saw him this time at Barlito!

I have bought Hydroponic Tomatoes at the farmers market in late spring before garden tomato season. They seem to have pretty good flavor. Cool that Mark is doing this.

Becky--yes, he does!
jackie--since they're grown in a greenhouse usually they can be produced ( with the right conditions) all year long.
