After a long absence!
I have decided to try and post on my blog while we are in Mexico. It has been a few years since I have utilized it, but think I will try it. I will be putting a link onto Facebook that will take you there. I hope you will enjoy!

Droplets
I am fascinated by water droplets & trying to photograph them
When I went out for the paper today I noticed quite a few after the rain over night.
I shot in manual settings so I would have a bit more control over them--
I had the telephoto lens on, should have used macro--will try that another time!

Hummingbirds
We have a hummingbird feeder outside our kitchen window that has a lot of activity on a sunny day.
Once it stopped rainy this afternoon one bird showed up & has been around for awhile.
Just sitting on the shepherds hook & flying to the feeder every so often.
Not the clearest photos ( taken through the kitchen window)
I took quite a few pictures to get these with the red throat showing
I love having a zoom lens!

Spring Flowers and Trader Joes
I went to the "Big City" ( Hartford) yesterday to the Elizabeth Park Spring Greenhouse Show.
It was so nice to see some spring flowers because I don't think we'll see any here--still have at least a foot of snow over all my flower beds!
This is a small selection of the photos I took--will be posting more in the coming days.
these next 2 tulips were my favorites
Love this color!
These are funny looking little flowers--I have a few growing near some Hyacinth. And a trip to the area always includes a stop at Trader Joes so I can stock up on stuff I can't get closer to home!

TBT-- Bermuda 2002
![]() |
I went on a cruise to Bermuda with my Mom & Jenny to celebrate their milestone birthdays ( 80 & 50). My Mom had commented to me that a cruise sounded nice, but she couldn't fly comfortably so we found a trip out of Boston. What a great way to see Bermuda--it can be very expensive to stay & eat in Bermuda, but this way you get your meals on the ship. We met many people that had done the cruise multiple times ( don't think I would ever do that!) The photo is of Gombey dancers that performed in the square in St. George where the ship was docked.Gombey dancers

Macro Monday
All of these flowers were growing along the chain link fence near Sea Hawk Divers. I don't think there were as many flowers blooming this year when we were on Isla.
Most of these were growing up out of the pavement!
Usually you see hibiscus all over, but saw very few.
