Scraping the Bottom of the Barrel...
Haven't been doing much of anything lately & not going out anywhere to take photos so I thought I start with some that many of you haven't seen. Starting with our 2008 trip to Alaska. ( If you've already seen these, indulge me! )
I think you don't totally grasp the size of everything up there until you actually see the mountains--not like anything around here!

Friday Flashback
I came across this photo in a bunch that a neighbor gave me to scan--most are of the fair & the area in the 40's & 50's. This picture happens to have been taken in 1963 in the state forest ( Mohawk) that is at the end of the street we live on. And it still looks similar to this some 50 years later!

A Tuesday Video from Youtube
On Sunday we went to the 2012 Possum Queen Foundation's Annual festival it's an organization that was dreamed up by 2 guys in Litchfield, CT when they were bored on a New Year's Day about 1990. People put together teams & do hilarious skits & raise money ( before during & after the event) The team that raises the most money & "bribes" the judges the most gets the title of Possum Queen!
The team in this video did a take off on Wheel of Fortune--called Wheel of Possum with celebrity contestants, Wee Wee Herman, Sara Phelan, and Stevie Blunder to name a few! At the end of their skit they announced that they had raised over $16,000 ! The moneys are given to people in the area struggling with medical problems & bills. Macro Monday
A little under the weather today--have a cold, but seems to be progressing quickly. Have video to share from yesterday's Possum festival & will do that during the week. Meanwhile this is an oldie--taken at one of the butterfly places in Massachusetts.
