Cape Cod!

Spending the morning ( 4 1/2 hrs ) driving to Cape Cod to pack up my Aunt's apartment.  We moved her into the nursing facility at the place she lived--at 97 she just can't get along on her own anymore.
Don't think the beach will be this empty this trip...supposed to be close to 100 degrees ( maybe not on the Cape though---but we're staying at a place with indoor & outdoor pools--hope we get to use them!

Just Spotted!

Just saw this butterfly in the yard, ran inside & grabbed my camera & it still was there when I went back out!

Spotted this interesting looking weed/flower as I was walking down the driveway a few days ago!

Sunny Days Bring Out the Bugs!

I sat outside a few days ago with my camera, watching butterflies & trying to capture them on film ( well, not film per se).  I was in the right place at the right time & saw this dragon fly.....beautiful, isn't it?

An Update

  A few weeks ago I posted some photos of these petunias right after I had purchased them  Spring Flowers
Thought you might like to see how well they are doing .  They are now planted in a small wooden frame around the mailbox

Purple Haze

 I love all the shades of purple flowers that are blooming now.  This is the start of the irises.

 I Love the look of  softness & airiness in these past- their- prime dandelions!
