Don't the wings look like stained glass?  Spotted this dragonfly out in my yard today!

Over the weekend I went to the warehouse sale at Mayan Dreams here in CT.  They import Talavera & other Mexican pottery, glassware & tin items.  The merchandise is sold  through garden centers and catalogs like the National Geographic.  A few times a year the owner , Gregg has a warehouse sale!
( now we won't have to pay the admission fee to the CT Flower show to get more!)

I have been bringing home a few pieces from every trip to Mexico for awhile, but this way I can get some bigger pieces that wouldn't fit in my suitcase!
before I went I asked Alan how it would be if I brought home a Talavera sink--he nixed that idea & I didn't think there would be any anyway.  Lo & behold almost the 1st thing I saw was a sink!

Missed the parade again  this year..I was doing yard work & it slipped my mind!  Then we went up to the neighbors to a party......  For inquiring minds--WAMOGO is the name of our regional high school--3 towns--Warren, Morris & Goshen

An Afternoon at the Pond

On Sunday we joined a few friends to have a picnic & visit at the Coon Club. 

Fish were stocked so folks  could go fishing!

I'd never seen irises growing in the water--they were all around the edge of the pond!

After lunch, my friend Paula & I went walking around & spotted these pink lady slippers--quite a few of them in one area.  Then we got out the bow & arrows & shot a few rounds!

Nothing much happening so I looked back to last summer for a photo I hadn't posted.  Think this is one!
