Propping my Eyes Open..

We are leaving for the airport in a few hours ( 2:30 am) and I wasn't tired earlier...so I decided rather foolishly to just stay up!   The kids are watching TV & Obviously I'm on the computer... Alan is sleeping --or he at least went to bed!
But even if I don't sleep in the car or on the plane, I know that this will be waiting at the end of the long day & night!

Then & Now...

I posted a photo on Facebook yesterday of Gaby and her family & someone commented on how much Marilyn had grown.....Here is a photo of her in January of 2008.

Persistence!

I watched this dragonfly for quite awhile on Sunday--flitting from plant to plant--not staying anywhere for long.    Couldn't get too close or it would fly away.  Then I realized I had the macro lens on the camera!  Telephoto would have been much better!  Corrected that!

Pelicans

Love to go over by Velasquez restaurant & take photos of the fishermen & the birds--mostly pelicans! 

You can almost feel the texture of the feathers in this photo!

All lined up, waiting for something...probably waiting on someone throwing fish scraps their way!

 1st Daisy  ( out of many!) that has bloomed so far!

Another beauty on the way!  Haven't been very enthused about posting--not much happening around here, but off on vacation next week & we can't wait to show Julia & Dylan all about Isla Mujeres!
