I pass by this beautiful site every time I drive to & from Torrington...There's nowhere to stop so I took this while I was driving --just aimed the camera & hoped it would come out!  the photo doesn't do it justice!

The cat & the dog love to be outside with me when I'm raking!  Tuck just likes to curl up where he will be warm!

Yesterday was a beautiful day--I actually was outside raking for awhile!  We have LOTS of leaves & pine needles to clean up!

 The colors are vibrant!

And the sky was blue for a nice change--had alot of rain lately.

Friday Night Football

 Went to watch my nephew play football last night & froze my a$$ off!  It was pretty cold & windy!

His team lost but it was great to get to see him play!

A Few New Bison Photos

These photos tend to look great in B & W or sepia so I decided to do that with a few.

Most days now they are in the field opposite our driveway & come down into the corner in the late afternoon.

The white bison is now brown ( but I heard that his feet are still white).  So now he blends in with the rest of the herd.

One in sepia--Makes me think of all the photos from the late 1800's when the photographers would go out & get pictures of the thundering herds!

Still Growing!

Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes are the best!

They have produced fruit all summer long & are still going strong!  I have been covering the plants at night the last few days, but still ripening--the plants sent out volunteers last year so I have 2 plants in the solar room now--hope to have freah tomatoes at least til December!

It's Been Rainy!

It's rained every day lately, at least for a little while.

So it's no surprise that we have mushrooms growing all over the yard!

have never seen one like this before.  When I 1st spotted it, it looked like the top photo--one day later it was like the next ones!

Fall Foliage

 I took these a few days ago--it's been raining all week!  Can't complain too much because we do need it.

They are looking across the back fields of the fairgrounds ( like yesterdays photos!)

Sunset at the Fairgrounds

 For the last week or so I have been helping out with a project at the fairgrounds & Monday night we were up there at the time of sunset.

 I know I have mentioned this before, but I never see the sunset at my house because of all the trees.
the mountain that you see in this photo is Mohawk Mountain & we live at the base.

Travel Tuesday

I'm starting my countdown to vacation--it's only 4 months away!  And I am sooooo looking forward to it!  it will be the longest trip we've taken to Isla ( or anywhere for that matter!)  This is sunrise on Palya Norte in the area of Buho's.
