Macro Monday -- late bloomer

I bought this hibiscus plant earlier in the summer-- really wanted one since they remind me so much of Mexico.  I will be bringing it inside soon & hoping it over winters OK.  It's still blooming quite a bit & I hope it keeps up!  I know this doesn't look like the same flower ( the color looks different)  but it is....must be the lighting!

Gorgeous Ann! My yard used to be full of white, red, and hot pink hibiscus plants here in Arizona. Frosts and extreme summer heat are killers. Half the backyard looked dead in the summer heat. Now I've scaled it back to three red hibiscuses in the front that weather the extreme heat, and I'll be covering them when it freezes. Grrrrrrr.

Wow, I didn't know you can grow hibiscus there..The ones here blooms everyday, all year long. The ones planted on cooler regions on the mountains will have blooms bigger than a dinner plate..

Thanks, Becky--i love them & hope I can keep this one going for a few years!
Syed--they grow all over the US, but won't over winter in New England if left outside. Hopefully it will be warm enough in my sun room to keep it going!
Thanks, Jackie--I really like it too.
