Drove around town a little this morning & it seems everwhere you looked there were sap buckets hanging on the trees....there's nothing like real maple syrup made in the area!
I remember seeing this hen I was 10 or 12. My two older sisters and I went on a cross country rad trip with an aunt. You have turkeys in your yard and syrup coming out of trees. Very different than where I live.
The longer I live in Texas, the less I miss that cold. I don't think I want to deal with ice anymore...or those sub-zero temps. The maple syrup would be okay, though. They definitely don't have that in Texas...haha!
Ann, my aunt lived in Shelburne, Vermont for a few years, so I've tasted a lot of maple syrup! I have some of the old red wooden sap buckets from our antiquing trips in Vermont.
That's cool! Not something I've ever seen in person. Makes me want pancakes.
