An unexpected surprise!

Went out to check on my tomato plants in the afternoon & spotted this butterfly on the Gaillardias I had recently planted. I think I snapped off 15 photos trying to get the inside & outside of the wings!
The butterfly really complimented the colors of the flowers...

Tried to get as close up as I could--never seen what looks like hair along the body of the butterfly before. Hope to see many more butterflies & bugs in the weeks to come!
